just wondering how long its taking to get a decision on sanction in principle?

You can get the initial approval in a few minutes on the website, but that is next to worthless.
Most banks want to you run through the full application process. Assuming you have the required documents ready this can take between 5 days and two weeks to get a response.

we applied with BOI on a friday, got the salary certs back to them tuesday or wednesday after than and were aproved on the friday.

Very quick imo

A good few months back met AIB, they got back in 2 weeks after receiving all paperwork, which was quite quick I thought.

BOI. 3 months and counting. Offer letter was very quick. Then things began to happen, or not, as the case may be. I don't know if I should be more descriptive for now.

A very stressful experience. I'll be moving my business elsewhere.
