Hi,

i started an ltd company last year and was convinced to use a specialized it accountancy firm.

problem is, I seem to be waiting for ever for them to finalize my 06/07 accounts. They have come up with some figures but I am unhappy with them, and now I can't seem to get them to respond to my calls to fix these issues.

Anyway, my question is how long after my financial EOY should my accounts be done ?

Thanks
Rob

You should always know your CRO filing date and CT1 filing date ,if the accountants screw up you are still responsible

They should be issuing you revised accounts after a week
They are obviously not working on your accounts at all ,if you haven't paid them I think I would be taking my business elsewhere

Thanks Capall,

I haven't paid them but they have filed my p35 and vat already.(paid for).
According to them I have till October to settle but I just want to get it sorted so I know where I stand.
I fear this could be a bad time to leave them as I am clueless as to where to go and what to do!

Thanks
Rob

For 2006 there shouldn't be any surprises in your accounts
If you are a one man service company, then you generally avoid corporation tax by leaving zero profit in the company at year end.
To do this you normally pay it out in salary ,but you need to have paid this before year end ,though you can make adjustment through the P35

For 2007 you want to make a salary payment before end of oct so as to avoid paying preliminary tax as a company director
