how long for dividends to be paid?

I own BoI shares and according to the ISE website the ex dividend date was in November and the payment date was 15/1/08. I received a form from Goodbody (my broker) back in December asking if I wanted payment in shares or cash - I opted for cash but still havn't received the payment. Does it normally take this long?

I don't mean to break the 'no discussion of shares' rule with this post, but I felt I had to mention the name of the share to lend clarity.

I opted for shares. The shares and small cash balance were in my NIB A/c,s on 16/01/08.

Is that an nominee account? Just curious.

They call it a Custody Account. I think it's the same thing. They hold the shares in electronic form on my behalf.

Yet another reason to hold shares in Share certificates.

You can phone Bank of Ireland's share registrars directly and sort out the problem. No messing with intermediaries.

write to chief executive, asking for response withing a defined period, say 10 days, otherwise you are contactin hte regulator.
