How long for conveyancing, after solicitor has deeds?

We've just gone sale agreed, and apparently the vendor's solicitor has the deeds already, which should speed things up a bit. Any idea how long it's likely to take from here, assuming it's all straightforward? Both sides are eager to get it done, there's no chain, and Christmas is coming fast...

A lot depends on how long it takes you to draw down on your mortage. In my case that took 3 months. Also depends on whether your solicitor discovers any isses with the deeds and other documentation. I'd say 1.5 to 4 months with the average in the range of 2.5 months.
