How long does the vedor have to take money paid by Laser

On the 7th of January my Laser card had a €160 transaction processed through it. I do all my banking online so am fully aware what there is in my account at all stages.
It was duly minused from my available balance and I waited to see it disappear from the outstanding balance on my account.

However a week ago my available balance returned to +€160 and it was never taken from my outstanding balance.

I'm wary that it could be taken back out at any time and don't want to end up in overdraft but is there a time limit that the original vendor has to process the transaction.

Any Advice appreciated. TIA
 
I had a transaction from the end of november only be processed theough my laser card about a week ago. When i rang the bank to query the transaction they said they had never seen a transaction take so long to process. Obviously that is one business that doesn't need the money!
 
Slightly off topic but I had a Visa receipt for €8.00 approx. that came through after a year :eek:
