Stage 1 - Mediation takes months, and where it ends in failure
Stage 2 - Ombudsman writes to bank with a series of questions - takes more months
Stage 3 - Bank takes months to reply - after seeking multiple extensions of time
Stage 4 - Customer responds , bank responds to customer's response, customer responds ... takes more months
Stage 5 - Appointment of an Adjudicator
Stage 6 - Adjudication and issuing of preliminary decision
So it appears that he will be waiting 9.5 months for the adjudication process to begin!
The process itself will take months.
And, in many cases, the adjudicator who seems to be a different person from the investigator, may ask further questions of the bank, which, in effect, brings us back to Stage 2.
