how long does JA wait in post office for you?

This is probably a really obvious question but I just want to make sure! My day for collecting my job seekers allowance is on a friday in my local post office. I'm unable to collect it this Friday. Will it still be available on Monday? I know that you have 3 days in which to collect it, according to the website. Just wondering if they count sundays?

No, Sundays aren't counted, just the days that the Post Office is open. So your payment would still be available on Monday. Bear in mind though that next Monday is a Bank Holiday and the Post Offices will be closed. Your payment will still be available on Tuesday.

If your post office is open on Saturday, you could collect it then if you're around.

Anyone know if you can collect it the day before you are meant to? i.e. supposed to collect Wed but can you get it on Tues?

No - payments should not be paid out in advance of the payment date (which is Wed in your case).
