How long does it take to get an oral hearing re disability allowance?

I applied in January 2010 for disability allowance and was refused. I appealed the decision and sent in further medical evidence, notes, letters, etc. and was granted an oral hearing with date TBC that was in November 2011. STILL waiting for a date and anytime I ring I just get told there's a backlog.

Are they hoping I go away (seems to be the thinking of most government departments, banks, etc. these days)? It's ridiculous and very frustraiting.

Has anyone ever had one of these oral hearings? How long did it take to get an appointment?

hi whatelse i wated 18 months for my oral hearing the appeals officer told me i should hear back within 4-6 weeks think it was 3-4 weeks when i heard back hope this hepls
