If you laid a wood floor, how long did you wait from the time any new concrete floor was laid before you put down your new wood floor. In our extension part of the floor is old and the other part is new concrete, we plan a solid wooden foor, most people suggest 3-6 months before laying a solid wood floor in a newly built house (and we have adhered to that in the past) just wondering whether you have to wait as long in an extension. I know we can get the moisture tested etc, but at this stage I am wondering if we will be able to get them done before we move back in our whether we will have to live with concrete for a while.
BTW the floor will be solid oak.
