How hard to fit thermostatic radiator valves yourself?

Creating excess heat is a waste.It wastes money, resources and the health of the community which has to bear the smoke from an open fire. So to speak it wastes OUR money. Why should we support that with a nodding to the ignorant usage of energy ?!
