How does Yahoo keep placing a cookie on my PC?

I used to have my homepage set to Yahoo, but not now.

I've deleted all cookies from my PC, but I notice within seconds of deleting all cookies a Yahoo cookie is placed on my PC. No other cookies are.

I haven't even gone to the Yahoo site and they still have a cookie on my PC within seconds of removing all cookies. How are they doing this?

Do you have the yahoo toolbar ?

I hadn't actually realised that iI had the toolbar, but I did, removed it and that's sorted the problem.
