Trying to hook up a Pioneer DVD recorder to a TV and NTL Digi box. Whatever I'm doing wrong I can't get any reception on the TV.
Can any experts spot what's wrong with this set-up:
- Aerial in to 'cable in' on Digi Box
- Scart from 'VCR/Aux' on Digi Box to 'AV2 (Input 1/Decoder)' on DVD
- Scart from 'AV1 (RGB) TV' on DVD to TV
- RF cable from TV to 'Antenna Out' on DVD
- RF cable from 'Cable out' on Digi Box to 'Antenna In (Digital)' on DVD
I would go:
Aerial in to "cable in" on Digi Box
RF cable from Cable out on Digi Box to DVD recorder
RF cable from DVD recorder out to TV
1xScart from VCR/Aux on Digi Box to DVD recorder
2xScart from Digi Box to TV
That's how NTL set it up for me (except I have a video recorder).

Thanks a million rgfuller, you have the scart from the Digi to the TV whereas my instructions said to put it from the DVD to the TV - I'll try your set-up. Thanks again.
PS I've checked radioandtelly.co.uk and the Sony site (which shows the connection diagrams) but as far as I can work out I have everything hooked up as they advise.
Yep, miraculously almost everything is working, really not sure how! Analogue channels and digital tuned in and recording perfectly (this is a beeeeeeeeeeeautiful machine ), all I need to figure out now is how to set-up Guideplus Have followed all the tips (ie put in a Belfast postal code, etc) but not sure where to go from there. If any one from the south has managed this: help!
