How do I find details of a 10 year old court case I read about in the papers?

I recall reading of a court case about 10 years ago in the local newspaper. I now have a need to find information on that case but am unsure if this is possible. I've tried Google but having no success. Is this kind of information available, given in was in the public domain? If so, how can I access it?

If you know approx date and location you could try local newspapers. You can look the national library archive up https://www.nli.ie/en/accessing-printed-material.aspx
Or some of the papers have their own archives online you may need a subscription to access them

With our local newspaper you can access them in the local library going back over 100 years. They are on microfilm.
