How do I access archived files??

I used a solicitor a few years ago to sell a house and he has since retired, upon the re-sale of the house I would have been owed money. I now belive this house has been sold and no money paid to myself. I need the archived files to prove what I am owed... Any Ideas??

You can check with the law society where his files are.

But whether they are available depends on how many years ago you mean. Solicitors aren't obliged to keep files forever.

Thanks, I'll give them a try. I think it's been about 10 years so I don't hold much hope.
