How do Charge Backs via 3rd Parties work

I cancelled an order I made on ebay and got an email from seller to say he refunded me (back to Paypal) and later that day I got email from Paypal to say they had refunded the money, my account showing, 'credit to credit card' and the amount.

The card is a Visa Debit.

If the cash is not in my bank tomorrow (about 3 days) with whom do I chase this up.

When the money leaves Paypal for refunding, does it go to 'Visa' for clearance from them and then back to my bank account.

If so sounds crazy and someone getting interest for nowt.
imho once seller refunds an EFT via Paypal it should be all automatic and virtually instant back into the owners bank account, or am I missing something.:confused:
 
Someone told me they have often waited up to 10 days for refunds from Paypal which is crazy.

It arrived today:) so 3/4 working days which I think is fair enough.
 
The refund of €79 is included in my ulster bank current account 'Balance'
The funny thing is there is no entry at all to record the refund, is this not a bit unusual.
 
It will take a day or two for the description to arrive. Mad I know.
