How close is too close? Window 500mm from boundary line. How does it affect us?

We are looking at buying a 1930s semi detached house. The neighbours have extended over their garage and stepped the extension back by 500mm from the boundary line at 1st floor (bedroom) level.

There is an opaque window on their 1st floor wall that faces our proposed new house.

Will this prevent us from extending over our garage? I've researched and researched but cannot get any insight. I'd value your input!

No it will not prevent you from extending over your garage.there window may face a brick wall though
