How can you name an islet?

I was in Clare recently and came across a small islet while on a coastal walk. It looks newly formed & may therefore remain unnamed.

I was wondering how I could go about confirming it is unnamed and if so, could I name it and how?

Google maps satellite will not zoom in that far. A few online Clare maps also did not go into much detail along the coastal areas.

Any suggestions?

Not quite all; they also had to beat up the original inhabitants in some places and exterminate them in others.
