Household charge interest penalties

What are the charges/penalty amounts being added to the household charge for non payment


What does someone who didnt pay by March deadline owe now - penalties and interest included ?

Is it 10% charge/interest per month in arrears on top of the €100 or how are the interest penalties being calculated?

Somebody I know who paid it late in May was charged €112 which was computed automatically by the online system. This comprised the original €100 charge + 10% of the original amount as a late payment fee + €1 per month or part thereof that they were late (1% of the original amount per month late payment interest) . This seems slightly different to the way that the % charges are explained or could be interpreted in the HC FAQ (e.g. if compound interest was applied to late payment fees and interest). Based on this somebody paying late today would presumably pay €100 + €10 + €3 = €113?
