Household benefits is it taxable?

I am completing my PAYE return for 2023.

In the income section I include my private pension and state pension.

I also receive a household benefits sum of €419 per annum.

Is this amount taxable and should it be included in my income return?

One other question if I may.

When I am returning my gross income earned from my private pension.....should I minus off the amount of the USC that I paid?

The household benefits sum of €419 per annum is generally not taxable and does not need to be included in your income tax return.
 
“Not generally” is incorrect, this is never taxable, as it is specifically exempt for PAYE, PRSI, & USC. It is one of several DSP and other payments which are fully and always, exempt from all Taxes, the more common being DSP payments such as : Child Benefit, Fuel Allowance, there is a full listing here: none of these need to go on tax returns as they are exempt:
