Has anyone ever house-sat?
I have friends doing it in the States for a year, it does seem to entail looking after the family pet, but apart from having to keep up the utilities and maintain the house and garden and respect the place - there's no other costs that I can see.
Looking at doing it in NZ for a year.
Would be really interested to hear accounts of such HouseSitting experiences in New Zealand.
( and yes I'm aware that if it was truly great then they probably wont be reading this tread as they never came home. )
