House purchased in my name, options?

Looking for some advice.
A house was purchased in my name about 10 years by my father. I was and still am out of the country therefore he wanted to put me on the then “property ladder“. The property is still to this day in my name however I have never done anything with it.


In the last 6 months or so my father has been diagnosed with dementia therefore other members of my family are taking care of his affairs. There is some friction within the family over how his affairs are being handled. As a result I want to see what my options are in respect of “my” house.


What are my options, I do not have deeds etc, could I take steps to rent/sell it? How?


Can I get hold of the deeds, how do I go about doing this?


Is there anything I am not considering if I did want to do something? Non resident etc


Any advice would be appreciated.

Is there a mortgage on this house, if yes the bank will have the deeds not your father. If not, then the sols that your dad used should be able to point you in the right direction.
