House Insurance Without Subsidence Cover

As a person who is in the process of buying a house I wonder will a bank accept a house insurance policy which excludes subsidence cover in an area which is prone to subsidence where the property has already been underpinned?

Well, does anyone know are there any insurance companies that will give insurance including subsidence cover in the outlined scenario?

as the other thread answered, have a structural survey carried out and approach a good broker to go to household insurers. If you think that you will find out from online quotes, forget about it.

I never said anything about online quotes.
I have an engineers report and a letter from the engineer who carried out the subsidence works, I have rung most of the major house insurers who operate in this country and they are in the main refusing to give any quote.
I have also gone through brokers who have managed to get quotes without subsidence cover but I was simply asking has anyone in the situation as outlined in my question managed to get house insurance with subsidence cover and if so from which company.

I didn't say you did. Apologies if you picked it up the wrong way. Usually a good broker would be able to build your case to underwriters.
