Home house insurance when you have claims?

Hi,

I had two small claims, one in Aug 08 (1100 euro) and one in Feb 09 (1500 euro) and now I am finding it difficult to get an insurance company to quote me. Both claims were for storm and water damage. Do you know any companies or sites that might give me a quote?

Has your existing insurer refused to renew the policy? You may find a broker is easier to handle this, as they can try to negotiate something on yout behalf. Could you approach existing car insurer?

Check with car insurers. not interested in quoting due to claim history.

Perhaps a call to a big broker like AA Insurance might help. Are your existing house insurers refusing to renew?
