Guy in office bought house a few months ago and got alarm code from previous owners (who have moved abroad). He never actually turned on alarm and following our office discussion now wants to do so! Alarm had 3 years monitoring free when first installed 2 years ago it seems.

Any ideas where he could get alarm code or get it reset?

He probably needs to contact the alarm company and get someone out to do it.
I once moved into rental property and there was an alarm there but noone knew the code so the company sent someone and they reset it for us.

he needs the instruction manual/leaflet.

usually you can take out the back up battery and turn the power off, then use the original codes to set it all up as it originally was

That working would depend on whether the system was engineer locked.
Otherwise any engineer would be able to reset it.
Can you post some more information as to make / model etc.

Not sure if this is any use- he texted me...

Pc5132NB/433 dsc security systems

Without me looking at a pcb that doesn't help, sorry...
Is there a manufacturer name or model on the keypad or control panel.
Failing that can you describe the keypad.
I'll PM you my number if you want to call me on it tomorrow.
