Hi,We are 3 women going to Nice in September.Would like 4* or good 3* Hotel with nice pool, near beach. Any recommendations greatly appreciated. Would also consider apartment. Many Thanks

We stayed at the Nice Riveria on Rue Pastorelli in June. Lovely hotel, very helpful and friendly staff, very good breakfast. Room decor is a little dated (was not a problem for us)
Location:- very central, just 3 minutes from Messana Square, bus stops outside the door and tram stop just 3 minutes. Another couple of minutes takes you to the beach and the old town.

You can get the airport bus in to the bus station and catch the tram outside to Galleries Layfayette close to Hotel. Your E4 day ticket covers both

Thank you BlackSheep. That hotel has indoor pool.We would prefer outdoor pool so still open to suggestions. Thanks

We recently stayed in Mercure Nice Cap hotel. Five mins walk to beach, has outdoor pool, rooms small but spotless, beautiful bathrooms, tea/coffee facilities, etc.

It certainly doesn't have a sea view, but it's location is great. It is beside the Nice Cap 3000 shopping centre which has great shopping, restaurants, etc.

Also has free airport shuttle bus. Staff very friendly and helpful.

cost per room was approx €85 room per night. Bus in to promenade des Anglais was no more than €2.

I've used the splenid hotel facilities. The pool is tiny and cold and underused. Food pool side is dear enough.

In Nice forget about sitting around the pool.
Save your money by booking a hotel without a pool. An outside spa might be nicer.
Instead book your bed by the many swish restaurants that exist on the beach and do your bathing there. About 20 for a sun bed.

For 224 per room for 2 check out the 5 star design hotel - boscolo Exedra - near the promenade - it looks awsome....

For class you need the negresso.
