Hotel near Heuston station?

Morning all,

Happy new year!

Can anyone advise me of a hotel within striking distance of Heuston station which would be suitable for holding a business meeting at? It needs to be a max of 10 minutes walk from Heuston.

The only one I can think of near to Heuston is the "Aisling Hotel" .. it's just accross the river - so under 5 minute walk.

No idea what it's like - I think it's now part of the Best Western chain .. it's reasonably large so I would guess has meeting rooms etc.

Other than that I can't really think of any hotels closer than Christchurch (which wouldn't fit the 10 minute walk criteria)

Note that the area around the Aisling Hotel and up towards Benburb St would be none too savoury at night - Well known pick-up area for street walkers.

Rainy,

I think that situation has changed since the intro of the Luas. The ladies of the night have had to move further afield i.e. nearer to Arbour Hill but you may be able to enlighten us further :p
