Hotel in Dublin - Saturday night city centre

Hi

Am travelling to Dublin on Saturday & require Hotel in the city centre for one night (2 people). Requirement is that its clean & good value - not required for a romantic tryst - just a night's kip & decent breakfast. Any recommendations very welcome.

Hard to beat Bewleys in Ballsbridge, if its near enough for you. Fixed room rate of around 100euro per night. Excellent location, good restuarant and bars, and very pleasant and new.

Watch out tho' it's All Ireland weekend and the likes of Bewleys are probably well booked out!

Stayed in Jury's Christchurch and it was good. If that is booked Clarion at Liffey Valley had rooms up to yesterday and its not that far out of town for the weekend that's in it.

For city centre location but very basic accomodation try Paramount Hotel , Templebar, at the Turks Head. Its been recently renovated and the rooms are clean & nicely decorated.

Stayed there last year on Friday very close to Christmas when lots of parties on, ( thats what I was doing too). Only € 67 for the room, so as there was two of us € 33.50 each. THought that was very reasonable & no taxi back required either.

We stayed in jurys inn at the customs house a few weeks ago and it was very nice and central also.

Stayed in the Grand Canal Hotel on Grand canal St 2 weks ago - €125 without breakfast but given the short notice was very pleased with it.
