Hotel in Birmingham

Myself and 2 friends are off to birmingham next week. We want a nice hotel in the city, as in 4* +. Anyone any recommendations, we'll be off the the nec so need to be VERY near to shops and new street.

I stayed in the Burlington (MacDonald) hotel on New street last year and got a good deal from lastminute.com (€60) for a single room per night. Right smack in town.

I stayed here in these central apartments in 2009 and it was a fantastic location within very easy walking distance of everywhere....

better value than a hotel and you will have a kitchen/sitting area.

Make sure you visit the Balti triangle for a curry.

Premier Inn Birmingham only £29 a night for the room, stayed there before and offer very good value for money.
