Hotel in Barcelona not too far from station

Hi folks, has anyone got info re reasonably priced hotels in Barcelona, in the general vicinity of the main rail station.
 
I have heard the Hotel Moderno just off Las Ramblas is good and if booked in advance have good deals. Wouldn't be too far from the station (bus? space?)

Hi Pat, I did say RAIL station, in my query. Hopefully the gang will behave and we wont end up in the Police station. Thanks for the replies folks.

I stayed there too around a year and a half ago found it a nice hotel and was only 75 a night for the two nights (when you're sharing thats pretty good I reckon in europe) but at the same time that was a special offer but hey it was the summer too end of July
