Honeymoon venue just before Christmas

My sister is getting married 12 days before Christmas and is stuck for a honeymoon venue. They'd like to be back before Christmas if possible so long haul flights are more than likely out.

Can anyone recommend anywhere for them?
 
It doesn't necessarily have to be somewhere hot, she's been thinking about New York already but it's very expensive. They were planning on having the official honeymoon a few months later when they could spend longer on holiday.

One of the old continental cities that has Christmas fairs - good sightseeing museums, cafes, bars etc. Vienna springs to mind (although the bars are rubbish). Budapest & Prague are supposed to be good over Christmas, but I haven't been to either.
