Honda Accord, is this the most recent model

The following is an Accord, is it the most recent version ?

It was registered in March 2008....have they changed the shape since this ?

Any comments, which is better, this or a similar spec vw passat of the same age ? Which would have the better build quality and driving experience ?

That's the old shape.
The new shape came out in the UK in 2008, but I don't think it was released in Ireland until 2009 as they needed to clear some stock.
The radiator grill did seem change in the last year or 2 of the old model.

I have the same (old) model accord, very happy with it.

Even though that is the old model, because it's 2008 it still qualifies for the lower tax based on CO2 rather than engine size, something like a €400 difference a year since that is the 2.2L diesel.

Yeah I can see they have changed it, which is a slight pity, because its always nice to buy the latest shape in a secondhand.
Does anyone know was it a complete redesign (as in bmw e46 to bmw e90), or just some cosmetic changes. Looks like they changed the interior a bit too.
Also the car in question is a 2.2 i-ctdi, and the new ones seem to have a 2.2 i-dtec.

Beautiful looking cars and well specced overseas. It's a pity about the motor tax.
