2014 and 2015
13.5% of all qualifyign expendtutre from €5k to €30k
only for tax compliant builders
13.5% of all qualifyign expendtutre from €5k to €30k

And now builders will increase their prices by 14%
I think its more a case that if the work costs say 10,000 then you would get a tax credit of 675 in 2014 and also in 2015. I think.Am I right in saying you will be getting the work done tax free? i.e VAT is 13.5% on the work?
I'd guess a lot of renovation is done when someone buys an old house and does it up prior to moving in, so if they exclude Seanieboy they'd be excluding everybody buying an old house that they'd prefer to not move into straightaway.I doubt it.
I presume you will have to state that it is your own home. But you could make a submission on it.

ITs not on labour costs e.g. If a you by a light fitting your charged 23% vat in a shop but if your builder supplies and fits the light fitting it fall under 13.5% vat. Therefore fixture do fall under this scheme
isnt that double vat? ie shop charges the builder 23% vat, then the builder stick another 13.5% on top of it?
