can the bank make me sell without taking me to court have home loans on buy to let properties

What does your solicitor say?

You will have to check the mortgage documentation.

if they give the bank the right to appoint a Receiver, then the answer is yes.

If they don't, the answer is no.

But it seems to me that you are better off working with your bank, than against them.

Were the buy to lets (BTL)purchased with home loans originally? Or was it your home and is now a rented property. If the latter there will have to be a clause in the contract stated that if you rent it moves to BTL rates. In relation to a forced sale. If you're not repaying they can force you, but it can be a a long and costly court battle for them, unless there is a clause in your contact allowing rent receivers to be appointed. Apparently with that clause they can do whatever they like including selling without going to court.
