Holiday pay when being let go

Hi All,

I've just been let go and will finish up in August. I'm wondering if you can tell me should I be paid my holiday pay for the rest of the year or just up till I finish.
I get 22 holidays a year so up until August I will have 14 days so should I get paid for the 14 days or 22 days??

its prorata I believe - so yes, around 14 days (assuming you havent taken any leave so far this year)

You just get paid what you accrued less any time taken, so 14 per your calculations.

Thank you both I had thought it was that way, but one of the guys here thinks he read somewhere that your are entitiled to your full amount so I wanted to check it out

Your friend probably read that if you work more than 1365 hours in a year you are entitled to your full holidays - however this does not apply during a year where you start or finish employment mid year. It only applies if for example you have worked 1365 hours in 9 months and then had 3 months on illness benefit.
