A friend intends taking a short holiday in Australia staying with a friend. I want to ensure he does all the necessary steps. Am I correct in thinking that entry requirement is done when booking air travel through the ETA system. What is the best travel / health insurance? I gather some credit cards no longer provide cover. Any helpful tips would be appreciated,
 
We were there for a 3 week holiday in 2012. We got a 'NOTIFICATION OF GRANT OF AN EVISITOR FOR TOURIST PURPOSES' from this crowd. [broken link removed]

We take out an annual multi-trip policy with VHI each year. It's €100 for me, my husband and daughter this year. Not sure how much we paid in 2012 for just the 2 of us.

On the credit card query, maybe check directly with the bank. We use mastercard abroad.
