Holiday illness benefit and jsb

Hello all,

The holidays entitlement during illness benefit is 4 weeks, if this ends and someone will go on jobseeker's benefit straight after, is this person entitled to the 2 weeks holidays allowed on jobseeker's benefit if she used the 4 weeks during illness benefit ? Or no ?

I presume you are referring to the 'payment while abroad' section of the guidelines linked below - it doesn't specifically mention 4 weeks, but it does refer to switching to monthly certificates to continue payment.

There is no link between illness benefit and jobseekers benefit regarding holidays. Note that for jobseekers, payment stops for the holiday period and is paid as a lump sum when the person returns. This is different than illness benefit, which continues to be paid into bank accounts.
