Which energy company charges the lowest provision of service tariff please? I’m currently with Electric Ireland at about 35E per month( 70E bi monthly).I come under low usage ( probably about 30 days in the year). The house is all electric.
Thanks in advance
I’m open to getting a small generator - just not sure how to do that.

Probably one of the companies that offer cashback/welcome credit & higher tariffs would work out best for you, take a look on bonkers.ie or switcher.ie

I'd be surprised if a generator would be suitable.

You'd need to pay for it upfront, make sure it's big enough to power all of the property's needs, buy a tank, arrange fuel delivery, worry about the fuel being stolen when you're not there. They're also dirty and noisy.

I'm not sure you'd save enough against your electricity bill to compensate for all of that.
Generally, generators are only used for back-up power in the event of a utility power cut.
