Hi,
I had to cancel a holiday 7 weeks before departure as the person I was going with broke their leg. The operator would only refund 30% of my holiday cost (which was 900 euro) and my holiday insurer will only pay out if you had to cancel for medical reasons (unless the travelling partner is a relative, you cannot claim as a result of them). This seems wholly unfair that I miss out on a holiday and am down 600 odd euro because my friend had the misfortune to have an accident. Is there any grounds for appeal on this. i know I could have gone on my own, but just did not fancy that!
Any advice, much appreciated.
