Hiring for 1 day only

I want to hire few young fellas (mostly students) for only 1 day for 4-5 hours to help me with something.

Am I actually obligated to report it to the Revenue? What about the PRSI?

I think it would be ridiculous to have them emergency taxed for such a small amount of money.

The PAYE Regs state that if you are paying more than €8 per week then you are required to register for PAYE. I'm sure PRSI is more or less similar.
