Hi, could anyone recommend a good company to hire a motor home from in Vancouver? We've looked at a few but they seem pretty expensive for even the smallest type.

Just wondering if anyone has any recommendations.

Thanks

Paulsgirl.

Paulsgirl, as an alternative to driving around BC in a motorhome, I recommend you hire a big comfortable car and stay overnight in motels you have pre-booked. You'll be less stressed than driving a large, slow-moving vehicle up mountain roads.

I normally book with ElMonte through their UK agency, works out cheaper than booking on USA website especially with weak stg. They partner with another company for Canada but ElMonte are one of the biggest in States and very professional.
See www.elmonterv.co.uk

Have used them for many MH trips in USA, have not been to Canada yet in an MH but hopefully soon. Make sure you take out SLI insurance.

MH is great way to see a country at a slow pace, stay overnight in places like state parks and campgrounds that you can't do in a motel. You can also cook your own meals so you don't end up eating fast food all the time, this is one of main reasons we like a MH. Sit out under the stars at a campfire with a few beers, some music and BBQ.
Don't worry about mountian roads, just stick it in a low gear, sit back, relax and think of all the drivers behind you who are cursing you to high hell !!
