I have an Nissan Micra 05 less than 47000 miles on it. Recently my PS lamp on dash came on intermittently and then came on permanently. I have been told its a Power Steering module which is an assembly in the Steering Colum. I have been quoted approx euro 1700 for the part and approx euro 600 to install. this amazing as I can get a new 2012 model for euro 12,000. The point is that this FRU Field Replaceable Module is approx 20per cent of the cost of a new car. I believe this is a reliability issue for this part or bad design for repair. Has anyone else had this experience or other similar.
