Hibernian Life and Pensions scheme

Hi folks,

I have been putting fairly small amounts into a Hibernian Life and Pensions 'Futura' scheme for almost seven years now. It was originally described by my bank as a 'long-term savings account'.

Does anybody know if these things can be cashed in, or if a penalty exists for doing so?

It may be worth me mentioning that I mislaid the original policy (have a copy) and some indexation notices but any help from somebody in the know would be appreciated.

Cheers.

I'm not familiar with the 'Futura' reference. It may be some branded product that Hibernian did for the bank.

If it's a unit-linked savings product, then it can be cashed in. You will have to check the terms and conditions for any penalties.

If you have mislaid the policy and need to cash it , you will need to complete a Lost Policy Declaration and provide them with a written instruction that you want to cash it in.
