We were having a discussion on

If HFC bank is closed in ireland and you owe them on a hp loan, about 1000 If you stopped paying them can they still put a strike on your credit rating?? Not thinking of stopping just wondering can they do that

Who is HFC? In general, your debt will continue, either bought out by another bank or managed by a liquidator/examiner/receiver. Slim
 
They would have sent you a letter mentioning about closure and their contact address in the UK
