Hetac Levels

Does anyone urgently know if a Degree from an NUI is a level 7 or level 8 HETEC award? Does it depend on what your final year result is i.e. Pass or Hons?

The HETAC web-site suggests a 4 year Hons Bachelors degree is Level 8, and a 3 year pass degree is level 7. I'd guess a pass result on a 4 year Hons programme is also level 8, but I'm not sure -- and unfortunately I think that's what you're asking!

I'm not sure if the NUIs fit into the National Qualification Framework.

I am pretty sure that a 4 year degree for NUI is a level 8 degree, regardless of what grade you got.

If it does fit into the NQF then it would be a level 8 regardless of what grade you got, yes!
