Hertz USA - Adding additional drivers

We're off the US next month and I've reserved a car from Hertz to be collected at JFK. The price includes 3 additional drivers which is handy, but our hosts won't be coming to JFK (not too surprising given that we're picking up our own car). Can we add our hosts as additional drivers by phone? Or at the Hertz office nearest to our destination (not JFK office)?

I've submitted the query to Hertz on their website, but no response as yet.

You can go into the nearest Hertz office to add in drivers, it cannot be done over the phone as they will need to present a credit card and sign contract.
