Went to the solicitor on tuesday and felt like a movie star with all the signatures myself and the partner had to complete on various forms, going away thinking all was good from that end - the solicitor then sent a letter this morning advising that we should get in contact with an engineer to have a look at the house ? Why she didn't mention this on tuesday i dont know however she says at the end of the letter that its not essential/required that we get an engineer however any probs arise its our prob etc etc - My question - What are other people doing ? Are people going by the councils snag list or are you employing independent engineers ??
If I thought we could put our almight trust in the councils engineers then I would be content with that ??
