My elderly father is doing up his will and appointed me executor. He worries a lot and wants to make things as easy as possible for the future. He had suggested making a list of all his bank accounts so I wouldn't have to try and track them down. Someone else suggested getting all the details of his life assurances etc. Is there anything else that would be looked at as part of the estate? he wants to leave a document with all relevant information along with the will, so we are not left tracking down stuff. It feels odd doing it now, but I know it will give him peace of mind to get it sorted. Is there a list of common things people have as part of their estate (eg curent accounts, savings, prize bonds, insurances etc?)
any help appreciated. thanks
