help with virus

I have a virus on my PC.

The virus locked my computer Friday night and is looking for a payment of 100 euro to unlock it.

However I can still log into my PC using my OH log in name and access everything, however when I log in through my user name it is still looking for the 100 euro.

Can anyone help me to unlock this virus

Can use you use system restore to go back a week ?

If MWB doesn't sort it, when starting up your pc, and you see the black screen with white text log into safe mode by repeatedly pressing F8 at this stage and then do an anti virus scan there, assuming you have one and remove any objects/infections found and reboot as normal.

System Restore won't help with getting rid of a virus.

It will remove it from start-up to allow the op into the profile , so (s)he can run a virus scan.

Do this first http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/rkill/ and keep it on the desktop,don't run it yet. Restart the computer tapping F8, select "SAFE MODE WITH NETWORKING",run rkill,open your browser and download malwarebytes,update it completely and run a full scan while still in safe mode. Let me know how it goes. What AV have you got?

Amongst other things, I would run Stinger, RootkitRemover and GetSusp which are [broken link removed].
