If they told you this upfront, I don't see what your problem is?I was going to use a well known Irish company - not sure if I'm allowed name them ? - to do my German tax return. The price I was quoted last yr for this service was €285 but this year it's...... €595 !
Why would there be a problem with doubling the price of a service in a year?If they told you this upfront, I don't see what your problem is?
Absolutely! And no problem either with helping the customer to become aware of these increased prices, so prospective clients can choose to look around for better value. Unless all service providers have doubled their price in a year, in which case one would be drawing the attention of the competition authority to suspicious behaviour. Why indeed? Providers are well entitled to set whatever price they wish for their services. There is no law to say a price cannot be doubled, tripled or halved. Once the customer becomes aware of the price increase, they are welcome to go elsewhere if they wish.
