Help with 40K

Hi All

My partner has 40K she received from redundancy and savings.

As we are both clueless when it comes to investments we are looking for help as to where to put it away.

She is not too keen on long term depositing iin case she needs it she wants to be able to access it without penalty or hassle.

At the moment it is in the Credit Union.
She has heard people tell her not to leave it there as it would be better off invested in Prize Bonds.

Is this true?

Can anyone advise on where she should put it please where it would do the most work for her?

In response to some of the points above ...

The CU will not give you a good return for your money.

With Prize bonds you return will most likely be zero.

An Post do not have instant access account with a good return.
